The Great House Publishing offers an unpaid Editorial Internship for rising juniors and seniors during the fall and spring semesters. This is an excellent opportunity for a college student to gain experience in a fast paced and growing publishing company in Miami, Atlanta, Toronto and New York City. Interns are required to work at least 16 hours per week, and must receive academic credit for the internship. Intern tasks and responsibilities include, but are not limited to: - Copyedit, fact-check, format, and proofread projects that will soon be on bookstore shelves and online, from thrilling memoirs and eBooks on personal finance to workbooks and trivia box sets. - Assist editors with essential publishing tasks such as - Conducting marketing and sales research- Researching and brainstorming new book ideas - Preparing online content- Managing permissions records- Reviewing printer proofs - General office tasks, such as photocopying, data entry, and mail distribution - With the help of the editors, research, write, and present a book idea for publishing consideration.
